Glove Lab Mallet

$60.00 Sold Out

The Glove Lab Mallet was inspired by a mallet that my dad had turned for me about years ago (Pictured second). The mallet he made was turned out of a solid piece of hardwood cherry. From the time we turned that first mallet we have been experimenting with different shapes trying to accomplish different objectives.

This mallet (Photo with 3 mallets), The Glove Lab mallet, was turned from a 4x4x12 billet of Hard White Maple and is a general use mallet. These mallets were each hand-turned in San Diego, therefore each is similar in size, diameter, and weight, but no two are exact. Here are general specs for the mallets:

Wood Specie: Hard White Maple
Length: Approx 13"
Barrel Diameter: Approx 10"
Weight: Approx 17oz.
Finish: Clear Coat

Our goal is to periodically release small batches of mallets constructed of a single piece of hard wood and hand-turned here in the US. We are hoping to use different species of woods in the future. Hardwoods in the size we turn are expensive, so future mallets will be priced accordingly.
